How to reach us
The best way to reach us is by car; it’s at your disposal our free private parking on site. We suggest to hire a car for having the freedom to discover all beautiful places of our land.
Otherwise, we inform that the area is well served by taxis and, if you come by train, you will find a taxi stop right next the train station in Varenna.
By car:
From Varenna: reach us by taking “SP65” (it connects Varenna with Esino Lario: it is the road with direction to the mountains near the railway station in Varenna). Pass the village of Regolo, before reaching Perledo, exit on the left (following the directions for Gittana and Crotto di Gittana). Pass Gittana without entering into the historical center. We are on the road, on a curve after Gittana.
From Milan: Follow directions to “SP5” Lecco/Monza, then “SS36” to Lecco/Sondrio. Take the exit “Bellano”.
Then follow directions to Lecco for few km in “SP72” and:
– A): fastest solution but narrower road:
after around 4 km, exit on the right before Varenna finally taking the directions to Gittana Crotto di Gittana. We are on a curve before Gittana.
– or B): easier solution and wider road, but little longer way:
exit on the right for Varenna (before the tunnel), then follow the directions above “From Varenna”. Arriving from Bellano, the “SP65” is on the left before the center of Varenna.
By train:
You can reach us by train: take train from “Milano Centrale” railway station direction “Lecco-Tirano”, stop in “Varenna-Esino” railway station and then take a taxi to Crotto di Gittana.
